Since taking control of Swansea Council the Liberal Democrats have quadrupled the number of managers paid over £60,000 from 17 to 64.
Confidential figures revealed by a Freedom of Information request show that between 31/3/04 just before the Lib Dems took over and 31/4/09 - a year ago - they have escalated the number of big earners from 17 earning over £60,000 to 64.
It is revealed that the Liberal Democrats' priority is to pay more and more to top managers on the Council at the same time as forcing through 600 redundancies and cuts affecting all our schools.
"During the credit crunch most organisations have shared the strain to keep people in jobs. In Swansea the Liberal Democrats have given those who earn most more whilst making many of those with least redundant." said Geraint Davies
