More than 250 people have replied to a campaign to halt the closure of The Lloyds bank branch in Sketty.
The bank is set to close later this year, which would leave the area without a bank branch.
Geraint Davies, Swansea West MP, said, “Hundreds of people and local businesses regularly use the bank and many more use the cash point, which helps the retail community in Sketty.
“The UK government gave millions to bail out Lloyds bank and it can’t be right that they are no cutting local services a decade later.
“It is vital that we have services available across the city and there is a duty of care to local people, some of who would struggle to access another bank if the branch closed.”
This announcement from Lloyds follows the closure of The Post Office in Walter Road in 2018.
