The Welsh Government published its ‘No deal’ action plan to show how it will “damage Wales.”

This follows the Welsh government and Welsh Labour’s position against a ‘No Deal’ and for a Public Vote on a viable deal or remaining in the EU.

Geraint Davies, Labour MP for Swansea West, said, “If Johnson illegally triggers No Deal then he stops the Welsh government fulfilling its duty to supply medicines and will deny people accessing basic foodstuffs.

“The Welsh Government has performed a public duty in revealing how disastrous and irresponsible a No Deal Brexit would be for Wales, which is light-years from the promises in 2016.

“It is why people in Wales are now seeing what Brexit looks like and want a vote on the deal that they were promised would be the easiest in history, with the right to stay in the EU.

“It is clear that for the government to go ahead with a No Deal it would be breaking the law and also be in breach of the constitution to enable the Welsh Government to perform its duty of care to the people of Wales.

“While the UK government continues to lie and cheat its way through its deceitful planning that would see people across the country suffer, Welsh Labour have offered people the opportunity to view the outcomes for themselves as a reminder that we have the Democratic right to step back from the brink of disaster with a referendum on whether to stay with the current benefits in the EU or face the real-life horror of the Tory Yellow-Hammer plan.”

The UK government was forced by parliament to publish its Yellow Hammer report, which highlighted there be medication supply and food shortages.
