After years of Conservative delay, the government announced that the Swansea Bay Tidal Lagoon would not go ahead, despite the enormous environmental and employment benefits it would have brought to Swansea. I have campaigned tirelessly to promote the Tidal Lagoon.

When the Welsh Secretary, Alun Cairns, appeared in front of the Welsh Affairs Committee, I listed the various ways in which this government has failed both Swansea and Wales, and asked him whether he should resign.
