“ I’m very impressed with the professionalism, focus and drive of Police Chief Joanna Maal who’s been in post since April

“ We’ve already worked together as she’s been closely involved with the multi-agency approach to making sure High Street remains a safe and welcoming environment for visitors, shoppers and local people.

“New challenges from mental health and missing persons to drug prevention across ‘county lines’ and associated potential violence and knife crime are all part of the mix of modern policing in Swansea.

“I continue to press for more resources for the police and it’s more important than ever that the public act as the eyes and ears of the police to both help our community and to combat and detect crime.

“People come to my surgery concerning issues that need police attention and i also provide any positive or negative feedback.

“Our Swansea police force is a vital public Setvices who are doing a great job in difficult circumstances and I look forward to continuing to work with them in a strong relationship with police chief superintendent Joanna Maal (pictured)
